Dr. Monique Weldon

Veterinarian/Medical Director

Dr. Monique Weldon has always been very passionate about animals and decided in high school to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2003. After graduating, Dr. Weldon went into general practice for seven years before starting her own veterinary hospital from the ground up. Providing personalized high-quality medicine has always been her goal. Loving Family Animal Hospital went on to become AAHA accredited within ten months of opening and earning the distinguished award of AAHA Hospital of the Year in 2017. While being sole owner of Loving Family Animal Hospital, Dr. Weldon also started the Animal Dental Clinic and ran both hospitals. Dr. Weldon has focused heavily on training and continuing education in dentistry, pain control, and anesthesia for the last 19 years. She has a passion for dentistry and oral surgery. In addition to this, Dr. Weldon has a large amount of experience and training in advanced/complicated anesthesia for elderly pets with concurrent diseases as well as advanced dental procedures.

Dr. Weldon retired after 15 years from general practice in 2018, and is now a Veterinary Dental Practitioner providing affordable, high-quality dentistry to dogs and cats in Colorado. She believes dental care should be part of regular wellness care. Providing a pain-free mouth and improving quality of life for your pet is why she continues to love what she does. Dr. Weldon also helps many local animal rescues by providing high-quality dentistry before adoption. She is constantly helping veterinary students with clinic rotations and internships to learn more about dentistry and anesthesia at her facility. Continuing education is huge for her and her staff, and providing opportunities to grow is so important for the team.

Dr. Weldon is a Colorado native. When she is not caring for your pets, she is busy traveling, singing, hanging out with her two fur kids, bowling, watching the Broncos or Rockies, camping/hiking, fishing, riding ATV’s and spending as much time with family as she can.

Dr. Parisa Kariminejad

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Parisa Kariminejad is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian with a strong passion for dentistry, surgery, complex medical cases, and client education. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 and holds an MBA through CSU’s competitive dual degree program, which she completed in 2019 while pursuing her doctorate.

Raised in Colorado, Dr. Kariminejad has been an active member of her local animal community since high school, volunteering with shelters and animal welfare events throughout the years. During veterinary school, she served as President of the CSU Veterinary Dental Club, where she deepened her expertise and passion for veterinary dentistry.

Dr. Kariminejad currently practices at Loving Family Animal Hospital and the Animal Dental Clinic, where she enjoys collaborating with clients to create personalized care plans that optimize their pets’ comfort and quality of life. When she’s not working, she loves spending time doing relief work at other hospitals, providing care to patients across the community. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and their two dogs, Levi and Lola, or relaxing at home with her cat, Fergi.

Dr. Sarah McTague

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Sarah McTague earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Missouri. She has completed additional training through FEMA, earned the AAHA Award for Proficiency in Primary Care, and is passionate about dentistry.

Dr. McTague has always had a lifelong passion for animals and a strong desire to combine science, veterinary medicine, and research. Her experience in both general practice and emergency medicine has further deepened her dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality care for every pet she sees.

Outside of work, Dr. McTague loves live music (she went to over 100 concerts last year!), adventuring outdoors with her dogs, Sampson and Latte, and when the weather cools down, you’ll often find her snowboarding or relaxing in a hot spring.

Dr. Tyler Ley

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Tyler Ley earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University and brings 16 years of experience in veterinary medicine, with a special interest in veterinary dentistry. He regularly attends the AVDC Veterinary Dental Forum to advance his training in techniques such as minimally invasive extractions, root planing, guided tissue regeneration, bonded sealants, and restorative materials, supporting his commitment to high standards of dental care.

Dr. Ley’s passion for veterinary medicine comes from the special bond between pets and their families. He values building lasting relationships with pet parents through education and believes routine oral exams and dental care play an important role in keeping pets healthy and happy.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking, and spending time with his wife and three children, and pursuing his love for writing, history, and mysteries.

Nicole

Practice Manager & Registered Veterinary Technician

Nicole was born in California but has lived in Colorado for most of her life. She received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Colorado in 2016 and then went on to graduate from the Community College of Denver in 2018, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and a Certificate in Veterinary Technology.

She has always had a passion for helping animals and began her career in general practice. During her time in general practice, she discovered a passion for dentistry and how important it is for the overall health of animals. She joined Animal Dental Clinic in 2021 and has enjoyed managing an amazing clinic alongside Dr. Weldon and providing animals with exceptional dental care.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to concerts, breweries, and escape rooms, snowboarding in the winter and cuddling her dog, Rio, and her cat, Mooshy.

Branden

Registered Veterinary Technician

Branden grew up in Chicago and moved to Colorado in 2010 to pursue his love of animals by attending the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. There he received an Associate’s degree in animal science and became a Certified Veterinary Technician shortly after. Branden now lives in Aurora with his amazing wife, their two dogs, two turtles, and one snake. He spends almost every free minute outside, fishing, hiking, disc golfing, gardening, or doing any other of the millions of great outdoor activities Colorado offers.

Amy

Registered Veterinary Technician

Amy is a Denver native who currently lives in Aurora. She has always had a passion for animals, even when she was young. She currently has a cattle dog mix named Reggie and a flame point Siamese cat named Goose.

Amy graduated from the Community College of Denver in 2016 with an Associate of Applied Science and a Certificate in Veterinary Technology. Since she began her career, she has worked in all different aspects of the veterinary field with her main passion being dentistry. She enjoys coming in every morning to see all your pet’s cute faces and knows she is making a huge difference in their lives.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys diamond painting, watching TV, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.

Erin

Registered Veterinary Technician

Erin is a Colorado native who graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2017. She currently lives in Aurora with her son, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. Erin has a daughter who is attending CSU and has her own dog.

In her free time, Erin loves traveling, especially to Alaska, going hiking, camping, riding the ATV, and going to local sports games (Go Broncos, Avalanche and DU Pioneers!) and just hanging out in the mountains.

Erin has a passion for dogs and can recognize different and rare breeds that come into the clinic. Erin came back to The Animal Dental Clinic after a few years because she loves the clients, team, and culture of the clinic. Erin loves Australian Shepherds, so she is always super excited when one comes into the clinic.

Irene

Registered Veterinary Technician

Irene is a Colorado native who has always had a deep love for animals since a very young age. She decided to pursue her love and graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2019. There she received her associates degree and later went on to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Irene lives in her home with her amazing husband, beautiful daughter, and 3 lovable dogs. In her free time, she loves to read, watch movies, and spend time with her family.

Nycole

Registered Veterinary Technician

Nycole graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2022 and has always had a passion for animals and the medical field. She is a proud cat mom and a mom to her amazing son. Caring for animals is something she truly loves, and she enjoys getting to know each pet’s unique personality and needs.

She is excited to meet you and your fur baby and provide them with the same love, attention, and care she would want for her own pets!

Andy

Veterinary Assistant

Andy is a Colorado Native and loves animals with all his heart. Andy has been working at Animal Dental Clinic for the past three years. He is responsible for keeping all the pets safe under anesthesia during their dental procedure. Andy has 3 wonderful dogs of his own and considers every pet that comes through the clinic a part of his family. He can’t wait to meet your beautiful pet and give them all the love and attention they deserve!

Marta

Veterinary Assistant

In 2015, I made a big change in my life by moving from Maryland to Colorado. A few years later I decided to start school to be a veterinary technician at the Community College of Denver. In 2020, I ended up doing my internship at The Animal Dental Clinic and loved it so much that I got hired the following year. Anesthesia and Dentistry soon became two of my favorite subjects. I strive to learn something each day so that I can improve my skills and help provide the best dental care to our patients and clients. I love seeing all our patients, but cats hold a special place in my heart. When not working I relax by listening to K-pop, watching anime, dancing, reading webtoons, and traveling.

Bobby

Veterinary Assistant

Bobby grew up in sunny Florida, but made the move to Colorado in June 2025 to ditch the heat and enjoy the mountains. He studied at Florida State University and worked at a vet clinic in Tallahassee for four years while in school. In his spare time he enjoys hiking trails, exploring nature, and hanging with his girlfriend and 3 cats Quincy, Jasmine, and Milo.

Amy

Receptionist

Amy is a Colorado native and grew up in Commerce City. She left banking to work with your kiddos as a receptionist a year ago. She is married with two kids and has always loved animals and enjoys learning more about them and their dental needs. During her free time, she loves spending time with her granddaughter and 3 Pitbulls, Paisley, Ginger, and Rosy.

Crystal

Receptionist

Crystal was born and raised in Colorado and she’s been in the veterinary field for the last 4 years and has loved every minute of it. She’s worked as an assistant, receptionist, and kennel tech throughout her time in vet hospitals. She loves being able to provide care and compassion to every client and fur baby she comes across. In her spare time, she loves to go to the mountains with her pets, watch her favorite shows, paint and go to concerts of her favorite artists.

Yasmin

Certified Veterinary Assistant

Yasmin is a Colorado Native, born and raised in Aurora. She went to Colorado State University and received her BA in Theatre Performance.

Her love for animals always came naturally. She currently has three kitty cats: Zeus (pictured), Yoda, and Cleo! She considers any animals that she comes across as one of her own.

Yasmin’s soft spot for these furry friends makes her even more determined to help any clients bring their pets in for dental care.

Outside of work, she’s helping petsit other families’ furry loved ones, going to concerts, playing video games, and dabbling in makeup.

Lee

Certified Veterinary Assistant

Lee is a Colorado native born and raised in Littleton. He attended Pima Medical Institute and received a certification as a veterinary assistant.

His passion for animals came to fruition through ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ as a kid and falling in love with the bond between Toothless and Hiccup. He wanted to be able to share that level of care and passion with as many pets as he could. To Lee, every one of our patients is family and deserves to be cared for just like one of his own.

Outside of work, Lee likes watching movies and TV, playing video games, and spending time with his husky Alleria.
